SIM IMPACT privacy policy
SIM IMPACT app · Serve India Ministries · Last updated 2 October 2026
SIM IMPACT helps you pray for India each day. This page explains what the app stores, why, and the choices you have.
Using the app without an account
You can read and pray without signing up. When you tap "I prayed" as a guest we add one to that request's public count and keep a scrambled code made from your network address (a salted hash — not the address itself) so the same device isn't counted twice in a day. Which requests you prayed for is remembered only on your phone.
What we store when you have an account
- Your account: name, email address and your password (stored only as a one-way hash we can't read).
- Your prayer participation: which prayer requests you marked "I prayed" and when. This builds your IMPACT Prayer streak.
- App activity: when you open the app, open a reminder or view Settings, with your device type and app version. Ministry staff use this to see how the app is used.
- Reminder settings: whether the daily reminder is on, its time and your time zone.
- Support messages: the name, email, phone number and message you send through Contact support.
- Security records: your IP address with failed sign-in attempts and support messages, to stop abuse.
What stays on your phone
A copy of recent prayer requests (so the app works offline), your theme choice, and the daily reminder schedule. Reminders are created on your phone — no advertising or tracking service is involved.
How we use it
To run the app, show your progress, send the reminders you ask for, answer support messages, and understand which features help people pray. We don't sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers or other third parties. The number of people who prayed for a request is shown to everyone, without names. All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Where it is kept
On servers operated by Serve India Ministries. Only authorised ministry staff can see it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When your account is deleted, we delete your account, settings, prayer history, app activity and support messages. We keep only the anonymous count of how many people prayed for each request.
Your choices
- Download your data: in the app, Settings → Your data → Download my data.
- Delete your account: in the app, Settings → Your data → Request account deletion — or use the account deletion form.
- Reminders: turn them off in Settings, or block notifications in your phone's settings.
- Reset the app: Settings → Reset app removes everything stored on your phone.
